Utilityrooms are where a lot of moisture is created when washing clothes and drying them in the tumble dryer. It is also a great place to dry clothes on a clothes horse when you have the door closed and a fan in operation. We also use the utilityroom when cooking some foods with a strong aroma. That why it is important to get rid of moisture in the utilityroom on a practical sense but also to comply with part F of the TGD when building a new home or if your home is under major renovations. If you have a natural ventilation system, you need a fan that will achieve 30 litres per second when switched on intermittently. The Silent 200, EBB-170N, TD 250-100 and TD 350-125 will all easily achieve this rate according to the length of ducting been used to install the fan. If you have a dMEV mechanical ventilation system we recommend the Ecoair EVO, Nuaire Faith Plus, Envirovent Filterless fan, Envirovent Infinity, Ecoair HLC or Ecoair TLC. We do recommend the constant running dMEV fans for homes with mould problems.
