Demand Control Ventilation (DCV)

Demand Controlled Ventilation works in the same way as a MEV system but with more control over the level of ventilation the system provide to the whole house. The system runs all the time and will boost in speed only in the wet room that has an elevated level of humidity. Each wet room has a humidity sensitive extract valve which will open and close with the level of moisture detected in that room. When the extract valve opens up the central extract fan will increase in speed because of the loss of pressure in the system. Only the wet room where the humidity is detected will increase in the ventilation level. This will help in reducing the heating consumption and improving the comfort level of the home owner.

Similarly in the habitable areas such as the bedrooms and sittingroom, the Anjos humidity controlled vent will be installed to allow fresh replacement air into the home. Theses vents open and close according to the humidity levels in the room so as not to over ventilate the room when it is not been occupied. These vents are available with an acoustic lining and choice of external cowls for exposed areas.

Benefits of our Demand Controlled Ventilation system

  • This system helps to improve the energy performance of the house, reducing the heating consumption and improving the comfort of the user
  • Low profile body (<19cm) of expanded polipropilene (EPP), which transfer a very low sound level with a minimum weight of 3 kg
  • Adjustable pressure level with an potentiometer, which means one unit will be suitable for many house types up to a certain floor area
  • Can be installed with our 90mm semi rigid duct system, which means installation time can be cut down considerably and a more air tight ducting system can easily be achieved
  • There is a fixing system to make it easier to mounting in false ceilings
  • Eliminates mould and condensation, the DCV system ensures that the right amount of ventilation is provided to control the amount of moisture in the air
  • Complies with building regulations regarding ventilation standards.
